For example, OERTEL SCHELLER advised a German MDAX publicly listed
company and its management during the sale of one of its subsidiaries.
The client, one of the leading producers of logistics handling
equipment in Europe with revenues of over EUR 1 bn, decided to
concentrate on its core business and therefore to divest of its
100% subsidiary, one of the leading German manufacturers of industrial
cleaning equipment and devices. The target was sold to an international
private equity group with a minority participation of the target’s
management. Thus, the target company became part of a potent and
focused entity enabling the newly formed group to realize the
high potential of the European cleaning equipment market. At the
time of the transaction, the target generated revenues of approximately
EUR 125m, all over Europe.
